Auditioning for Annie (mezzo)
Annie is the street-smart and spunky orphan who charms everyone on her path to finding family and belonging. She is full of optimism no matter the obstacles and is grateful for everything beyond the buckets and brooms of Miss Hannigan’s orphanage.
“The Girl I Mean To Be” from The Secret Garden
Audition for Oliver Warbucks (baritone)
A stiff-collared, successful millionaire who takes in the little orphan Annie for the holidays. His hard exterior is softened by her positivity and charisma, and through this unconventional relationship his priorities are altered in favor of love and family over money and success.
“Colors of My Life” from Barnum
Audition for Grace Farrell (soprano)
Grace is Oliver Warbucks’ personal secretary and a figure of comfort and maternal warmth towards Annie. She is efficient, poised, and up for any challenge, including Miss Hannigan and her brother’s schemes. Nothing will keep her from protecting Annie.
“Getting to Know You” from The King and I
Audition for the Orphans (mezzo/soprano)
The orphans in Miss Hannigan’s orphanage are small but mighty. These girls are tough and no stranger to hard work. Each has a distinct personality and a strong objective of finding a loving home.
“Naughty” from Matilda
Auditioning for Miss Hannigan (mezzo)
Deeply unhappy with her status in life, Miss Hannigan takes out all her frustration on the orphans she wardens. Her only happiness comes from radio romance dramas, a bottle of booze, and scheming with her contemplable brother, Rooster.
“Breaking Down” from Falsettos
Auditioning for Rooster (tenor)
Rooster is Miss Hannigan’s brother and partner-in-crime. He is no stranger to cons and schemes, and dreams of the good life on Easy Street. He pretends to be Annie’s biological father, the fictional ‘Ralph Mudge,’ to win the reward money from Oliver Warbucks.
“Luck Be A Lady” from Guys and Dolls
Auditioning for Lily St. Regis (soprano)
Lily St. Regis is the flouncy, flirty and flighty girlfriend of Rooster. Equally invested in a monetary reward, she fulfills her role as Annie’s biological mother despite being somewhat dimwitted and distracted.
“Listen to Your Heart” from Young Frankenstein
Auditioning for Bert Healy (tenor)
Bert Healy is the radio announcer famous for his “Oxydeny Hour of Smiles.” He is a charming and engaging host who allows Oliver Warbucks on his show to advertise for his search for Annie’s parents.
“Lullaby of Broadway” from 42nd Street
Auditioning for Roosevelt (baritone)
Franklin D. Roosevelt, the 32nd President of the United States, was known for his “New Deal” policy and for comforting a country wrecked by the Great Depression. When Warbucks brings Annie along to a meeting with the President, FDR is struck by her optimism and sincerity.

“I Invented Myself” from Ben Franklin in Paris
